• Wairau 33kV Cable Joint Replacement

  This Vector Electricity 33kV oil cable passes beneath a bus terminal forming part of Auckland’s North Shore bus lane. Utilities contractor Siemens needed specialist help when a damaged portion of the cable linking the network to the Wairau Road zone sub-station experienced a loss of oil pressure, threatening the security of supply to the north shore.

• State Highway 20 Manukau Extension

  The State Highway 20 Manukau Extension is a $210 million construction project for the New Zealand Transport Agency, involving the construction of 4.5 kilometres of a new four-lane motorway to improve access to Auckland International Airport and Manukau City.

• Huntly Power Station – 220kV Bushing Replacement

  Huntly Power Station is New Zealand’s largest thermal power station, generating up to 20 per cent of the country’s electricity supply. Owned by Genesis Energy, the power station provides electricity to much of the North Island, including Auckland and the Taranaki, Ruapehu and Waikato districts.

• Vector Electricity - Clendon Zone Substation

  Vector Electricity required a new 33/11kV zone substation to be built in a greenfields site at Clendon, Manukau City, to increase capacity and ease the load on the network.
