Northpower Telecommunications has developed, designed and built both blown fibre and traditional fibre optic cable networks.

As well as designing, building and maintaining fibre networks, we have full capability to capture fibre optic grid plans and GIS data to support fibre optic network systems. We have developed some unique methods of mitigating the visual impact of aerial fibre optic installations.

As an industry leader, Northpower is a member of the New Zealand Regional Fibre Group, consisting of 18 lines and fibre companies from around the country.

Our status as both a network owner and contractor gives us many synergies with our customers. These may be as simple but fundamental as the ability to integrate with each others’ systems, or understanding and achieving safety policy requirements. Our fibre optic design team works together seamlessly to plan, design, build and maintain overhead and underground fibre optic networks. We provide a full service including 24-hour callout for maintenance and faults restoration, project and subcontractor management, data management, inventory management and materials procurement.

We understand the need to minimise disruption to the community, and we build constructive relationships with local authorities to manage the consents process.
