About The Trust
The Trust consists of seven Trustees who hold all the shares in Northpower on behalf of the Trust's owners - consumers connected to our network. This ownership structure ensures the ownership and control of Northpower remains in the Northland community.
-
Consumer Benefits
Each year, in conjunction with the NEPT we return money to consumers through credit distributions that show as a line holiday on their power bill. Since 1993, we have collaboratively returned over $140 million to consumers.
-
Election Information
The Trustees are elected by the public every three years (around the time the local body elections take place). Trustees are elected from the Whangarei and Kaipara districts. The last election was held in November 2007.
